History

In Step was established over 30 years ago as a specialist children's footwear shore.

During this time our reputation has been built up. Our aim is to offer an extensive range of quality shoes to meet all budgets. Our measure and fitting service by fully trained staff who genuinely care about comfort and fit of your children's footwear, is unique.

In May 2007 the ownership of In Step changed to Lynn Cowie. To take over such an icon of Christchurch retail was certainly a formidable proposition. To many loyal customers the changeover will have gone unnoticed.  However, Lynn's dedication to educating New Zealand parents about quality footwear shows through, with her community involvement and fundraising with In Step in schools and pre-schools. 

In Steps' Aims:

• To have a fitting shoe service by fully trained staff who genuinely care about the correct shoe for your children.
• To demonstrate that your children need to wear quality, well fitted shoes, to ensure they do not develop problems later in life.
• To stock the most complete range of quality shoes from all around the world. Therefore we have shoes to fit all ranges of foot shapes, and for all purposes.
• To offer shoes for all budgets
• To ensure that having shoes fitted at In Step Footwear is a positive, enjoyable and informative experience.
• To enable parents to feel confident that their child is comfortable and that the shoes will last for at least 6 months of normal wear and tear by guaranteeing this with a money back guarantee.

To reward this loyalty we run a customer loyalty card system. Where after your tenth shoe purchase, 10% of the card value will be taken off your next purchase!
